“In September, 2009 {18 YEARS after the first proposal and 5 years after the completion of the decade-long environmental assessment!}, the Ktunaxa leaders DECLARED THEIR ABSOLUTE OPPOSITION to any permanent project such as was proposed, BECAUSE OF THE “SACRED SIGNIFICANCE” OF THE ENTIRE AREA.
